Rebind Joins Gnosis Pay's Enterprise Platform With €30M Moved

Gnosis Pay has named Rebind as one of the first partners moving onto its enterprise platform, and released figures for Rebind along with it. The app went live in April. Since then users hold €6M inside it and have moved €30M through it. In August Rebind added Swiss francs through Frankencoin, next to euros and dollars.

The held balance is a fifth of the volume that passed through

€6M resting against €30M moved over roughly five months describes a transit account rather than a store of value. Money lands, gets spent or sent, and leaves. That ratio matters for anyone choosing between card accounts, because a product optimised for throughput behaves differently from one optimised for a parked balance: the questions that decide it are transfer fees, settlement speed and the currencies available at each end, not the yield on an idle balance.

Three currencies now sit on the account. Euros and dollars were there from the start; Swiss francs arrived in August through Frankencoin, a franc-denominated stablecoin. For a euro-account product, adding CHF widens the set of people for whom the account can hold their home currency rather than a converted one, which is where cross-border FX costs usually accumulate.

Gnosis Pay is becoming the layer under other people's cards

The migration fits the shift Gnosis Pay announced earlier this month. Its consumer-facing operation is closing: card issuance stops at the end of September, covered in Gnosis Pay's September card cutoff, and the webapp shuts down as described in the Gnosis Pay webapp shutdown. What replaces it is a platform that other companies build card programmes on.

Gnosis Pay describes the value of that platform as vendor aggregation. Launching a branded Visa card means coordinating BIN sponsorship, an issuing bank, KYC, dispute handling and card manufacturing, more than fifteen counterparties in all, before a single card ships. The platform puts those behind one API and carries the compliance load.

The consumer relationship moves to the partner

For a cardholder, the practical consequence is that the counterparty changes. Support, pricing, currency coverage, limits and region availability come from Rebind or another partner, not from Gnosis Pay, even though the rails underneath stay the same. Comparing two cards built on the same platform means comparing the partners rather than the platform, because that is where the terms are set.

Gnosis Pay has not published a list of which other partners are migrating or on what schedule, and Rebind has not published its own terms for cardholders arriving from Gnosis Pay. Anyone holding a Gnosis Pay card through the September cutoff has to get that from the partner they end up with.
