Ether.fi Cash iPhone 18 Draw Stops at 500 Pre-Orders
Ether.fi Cash is running a draw on Apple pre-orders from 12 September at 09:00 ET to 18 September at 23:59 ET 2026. One in every ten qualifying pre-orders receives 100% cashback on that purchase, up to $2,000. The headline rate is not what decides whether it reaches a given cardholder.
The campaign closes at the first 500 qualifying pre-orders or $100,000 awarded, whichever comes first, even if the period has not ended. Pre-orders are counted in the order they are placed, so entries go by arrival time rather than spreading across the seven days. The two limits describe the same ceiling from different directions: 500 entries at one-in-ten odds, each capped at $2,000, is $100,000.
A second pre-order does not buy a second entry
Each member holds one entry however many pre-orders they place, so splitting a purchase or ordering twice does nothing for the odds. Where a member places more than one qualifying pre-order, ether.fi has not said which transaction the reward would attach to.
Qualifying means Apple's own checkout, $1,000 or more, one transaction
The merchant has to be Apple, the amount $1,000 or more in a single transaction, and the card a personal ether.fi Cash card. Carriers, resellers and any other merchant are excluded even when the item is an iPhone 18. Card records do not carry item detail, so the merchant and the transaction amount are what identify a pre-order, which is also why the reward is capped at a flat $2,000 rather than matched to a handset. A pre-order above that ceiling wins $2,000 and the member pays the rest, and the reward is net of cashback already earned on the purchase.
Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members are eligible automatically. A Core member gets in by referring someone who signs up, completes identity verification and spends at least $100 on their own Cash card, with that threshold crossed inside the campaign period. A friend who was already past $100 before the campaign opened does not create an entry.
Entries close on 30 September, ahead of some shipping estimates
Apple confirms pre-order transactions between 18 and 30 September, and entries are final on that date. A pre-order Apple has not confirmed by then cannot be entered at all. That falls hardest on configurations with later shipping estimates, which is the one part of the entry mechanism a buyer cannot influence after the order is placed.
Winners are drawn within five business days of 30 September and notified in the app or by email, and cashback is paid on 1 November. The gap is deliberate: it puts the payment after Apple's shipping and refund periods, so a pre-order placed to enter and then cancelled earns nothing. A reward is also forfeited if the purchase is refunded, reversed or disputed before 1 November, and the account has to be in good standing on that date.
A draw and a flat rate are different offers at the same headline
Averaged across everyone who enters, a one-in-ten chance at 100% returns 10% of a qualifying purchase — until the purchase passes $2,000. A $1,200 pre-order averages $120. A $3,000 pre-order still averages $200, under 7%, because the ceiling stops moving while the price does not. The average describes the campaign, not any single member: nine in ten receive nothing at all.
Plasma One's 20% Apple boost pays a smaller, certain amount to everyone who qualifies, capped at $100 or $50 by tier. Two decisions sit under the ether.fi version for anyone pre-ordering this week: whether an eligible tier is already in place before the order, and whether that configuration will be confirmed by Apple before 30 September.
