Avici pays up to 10% in Korea for 48 hours, capped at $50
Avici is running a cashback campaign on in-person purchases in South Korea from 29 September 2026 at 18:30 UTC to 1 October 2026 at 18:30 UTC. Signature cards earn 10% of the qualifying amount and Platinum cards 5%, paid in ANSEM rather than in dollars or stablecoins.
Two numbers decide what the offer is worth to anyone: a 48-hour window and a USD 50 cap per user across all of that user's Avici cards.
The $50 cap stops Signature at about $500 of spending
At 10%, USD 50 of cashback arrives at roughly USD 500 of qualifying purchases. At 5% it takes about USD 1,000. A Platinum cardholder therefore needs twice the spending for the same maximum reward, and spending beyond those points earns nothing under this campaign.
The rate follows the card used for each purchase, not the highest tier on the account. Avici states that holding a Signature card does not entitle a purchase made with a Platinum card to the Signature rate. Splitting payments across cards does not raise the cap either, and the campaign rate does not combine with any other Avici cashback offer on the same purchase, so the usual rate is replaced rather than added to.
A qualifying purchase has to be made in person at a merchant located in South Korea, with South Korea recorded as the merchant country in Avici's transaction record. Paying in Korean won is not sufficient on its own. Physical card taps and mobile wallet payments both count.
The exclusion list removes most of the fast ways to reach USD 500. Cash withdrawals, transfers, and wallet, exchange or account funding are out. So are gift cards, prepaid cards and vouchers, gambling and betting, card and foreign-exchange fees, merchant store credit, self-payments and manufactured spending, along with anything pending, declined, cancelled, refunded or disputed. What remains is ordinary retail and hospitality spending inside two days in one country.
Rewards are allocated in settlement order, not in tap order
Avici caps the campaign with a limited budget and can stop awarding cashback once that budget is reached, even before 1 October. Rewards are allocated in chronological order of settlement, and a final reward may be cut to whatever budget remains.
A purchase has to be authorised inside the window but may settle up to 30 days later. Those two rules together mean a cardholder's position in the budget queue depends on how quickly each merchant submits the transaction, not on when the card was tapped. A Tuesday-evening purchase at a merchant that batches slowly can land behind a Thursday purchase at a faster one. Nothing in the terms lets a cardholder see the remaining budget, so a qualifying purchase can be genuinely eligible and still earn nothing.
Eligibility itself is narrower than the campaign page headline suggests. A participant needs to be at least 18, hold a fully verified individual account, use an active Platinum or Signature card, and reside in a supported jurisdiction. UK residents are not eligible.
The payout is a Solana token priced at settlement
Cashback is paid in ANSEM, a token on Solana. The USD value of each reward is converted into ANSEM at the price Avici records when the qualifying purchase settles, and the number of tokens is fixed at that moment. Distribution follows within 30 days of settlement, to the Solana address of the cardholder's Avici wallet, and the account has to remain active and able to receive it.
Avici states plainly that ANSEM is a third-party token, that it is not the issuer, and that it does not guarantee the price, liquidity or availability. So the headline "up to 10%" describes the dollar value used to size the reward at one point in time, not the value of what actually arrives up to 30 days later. A refund reduces the reward proportionately, a cancelled purchase forfeits it, and cashback already distributed can be recovered or offset against future rewards.
For a cardholder already in Seoul during conference week with an active Signature card, roughly USD 500 of ordinary in-person spending is the whole of the offer. For anyone considering a trip or a tier upgrade around it, USD 50 in a token with no guaranteed price is the ceiling, and the budget can close before the window does.
